Hints on the pages of the admin panel for Multi-Vendor

The module displays tips for users in the administrative panel in the specified locations. These hints help administrators and sellers navigate the admin panel.


SCOPE OF APPLICATION

The module is suitable for any marketplace where there is no possibility of additional training for administrators and sellers. It greatly facilitates the process of interacting with the platform.


APPLICATION EXAMPLE

Hints for various tabs in the product card help the administrator and vendor to quickly learn how to interact with the panel.

SPECIFICATIONS
  • Creates and edits tooltips;
  • Displays tips on the admin panel and the seller's panel;
  • Provides the ability to export and import tooltips.

MODULE SETTINGS

1. To configure a module, go to the "Modules" tab, in the pop-up menu, select "Modules Management" and the "MAURISWEB" section.



2. In the list that opens, select the module you are interested in and click on its name, highlighted in blue or black.


 

3. On the page that opens, go to the "Licensing" section and in the "License key" field enter the license key that is available in your account at www.maurisweb.ru in the list of purchased modules and sent to your mail.


  

4. In the "Available domains" and "Test domains" sections, check the correctness of the specified domains. You can add additional domains by clicking on the white "Add Domain" button on the right side of the page. The total number of domains should not exceed three.


 


5. Go down below, select the "Basic settings" section and tick the box "Save data when removing the module" so as not to lose them when reinstalling the module.


 


6. Save the module settings by clicking on the blue "Save" button at the top right of the panel.

 

FUNCTIONALITY OF THE MODULE

CREATING TIPS

1. To create a new hint, go to the "Website" tab and select the "Hints on the pages of the admin panel" section.




2. Click the plus button in the upper right corner of the page.




3. In the "Name" section, enter the name of the hint you are creating.

Please note that items marked with a red asterisk are required!




4. In the appropriate paragraphs, enter the controller and mode of the page on which you want to place the tooltip.



4.1. The controller and the mod can be viewed in the address bar of the page: from the first equal sign to the ampersand (the "&" symbol). The controller is the part before the point, the mod is after.




5. If the hint should apply to the entire page, then go to the next item. If you need to describe a specific action using a hint and place it in a specific place on the page, then you must fill in the tab ID.




5.1. The tab ID can be viewed by hovering the mouse cursor over the required element, right-clicking and selecting "Explore Element" from the pop-up menu. Tabs and blocks have IDs. Individual lines do not have their own ID.




5.2. A window with the item code will open on the right side of the screen. Hover over it.




5.3. Above the required element, its name will be highlighted. Copy it without quotes.




6. Click on the arrow to the left of the input field and select one of the four options in the drop-down menu:

"Exactly" - the hint will be displayed in the tab with the exactly specified ID. Example: details.

"Starts with" - the tooltip will be displayed in all tabs whose ID starts with the specified value. Example: tab_details_.

"Ends with" - the tooltip will be displayed in all tabs whose ID ends with the specified value. Example: _tab_details

"Contains" - the tooltip will be displayed in all tabs whose ID contains the specified value anywhere.



7. In the "Position" item, set the position of the hint display in the general list. If you do not specify a position when creating a tooltip, they will be displayed in alphabetical order in the list.




8. In the "Location" item, expand the menu and select one of the possible options: "Top" or "Bottom".




9. Fill in the text for the tooltip in the built-in text editor.



10. Check the "Hide content" box if the hint text is too long.




11. Specify the height of the displayed content in pixels.




12. Click the blue "Save" button in the upper right corner of the page.





VERIFICATION OF THE RESULT

1. Open the page for which the tooltip was created. The tooltip text appears at the top of the tab.




2. To view the full text of the tooltip, click the "Show" button.




3.The full text of the prompt will open. To collapse the text again, click the "Hide" button.





NAVIGATION PAGE

1. Go to the "Web Page" section and select the "Hints on Admin Panel Pages" section.



2. On the page that opens, all created tips are displayed. Each hint corresponds to one line containing all the basic information about it:

"Name";

"Controller";

"Maud";

"Tab ID".



3. To edit a hint, click on its name in the list.




4. To delete a hint, move the cursor over it, click on the gear-shaped button that appears and click the "Delete" button in the drop-down menu.



5. At the top of the page, the total number of prompts and the number of prompts displayed on the page are displayed. To change the number of displayed prompts, click on the label and select the desired value from the drop-down menu.



6. To highlight a hint, check the empty box to the left of it.




7. To select all prompts on the page, put a check mark in the empty field above the list.




8. To delete a group of selected prompts, click the gear-shaped button in the upper right corner of the page and select "Delete Selected" in the drop-down menu.



9. Use the search menu on the right side of the screen to quickly find the clue you are looking for.




10. Fill in the fields in the search.




11. Click the "Find" button. The search algorithm will work even if you fill in only it from the fields.





EXPORT TIPS

1. To export prompts, go to the "Administration" tab, select the "Data export" section and the "Prompts on the admin panel pages" subsection.




2. On the opened page, select the fields that you want to export. 4 fields are required:

"Hint ID";

"Language";

"Controller";

"Maud".



3. If necessary, save the template for exporting prompts. To do this, enter the name of the layout in the appropriate field and click the white "Save" button next to it. In this case, you will not need to configure the fields again at the next export.




4. To reset the settings, click on the blue highlighted text "Clear fields".




5. Go to the Export Options section and select the CSV Separator. To do this, open the list and select one of the possible options:

"Semicolon";

"Comma";

"Tab".



6. In the "Output" item, expand the additional list and select where to output the export:

"Download file" - save the file on the local computer;

"Screen" - display the contents of the file on the screen;

"Server" - save in the server file folde



7. The file name is generated automatically, but if necessary, you can edit it in the appropriate paragraph. 




8. Click the "Export" button in the upper right corner. The export will be reflected in the form that you marked in point 6.





IMPORT OF TIPS

1. To import a file with prompts, go to the "Administration" tab, select the "Data import" section and the "Prompts on the admin panel pages" subsection.




2. Before importing, make sure that your file with hints contains the required fields: "Hint ID", "Language", "Controller", "Mod".




3. Go to the Export Options section and select the CSV Separator. To do this, open the list and select one of the possible options:

"Semicolon";

"Comma";

"Tab".



4. To download a file, select one of the three available methods:




4.1. To load a file from your computer's memory, click the "Download" button.



4.2. To download a file from the server, click the "Server" button.




4.3. To download a file from the Internet, click the "URL" button and add a link.




5. Complete the import by clicking on the blue "Import" button in the upper right corner of the panel. After loading, the hint will be reflected in the general list.
